Thursday, December 27th, 2007

The former Talking Heads’ front man talks to Radiohead’s Thom Yorke about the thinking behind the release of In Rainbows. It’s a shame that this is not an in-depth interview as the pickings are very slim. A synopsis - Radiohead’s managers came up with the idea. The band embraced it based on the perceived value [...]

Image from Motel De Moka
Moose contributor, Josh K, sent me a link to a cool blog called Motel De Moka where he’d discovered a great MP3 list of dubstep cuts posted up - Deep Night Dubstep (2:45AM), there’s some very good cuts there. And digging deeper Josh found another post that was a rather fascinating [...]

American Gangster

radiohead opt for an early release of in rainbows on cd, release video

Friday, November 30th, 2007

I’m not sure why I received this press release so late although I do know I was in Turkey playing a festival at the time so maybe I missed it. So Radiohead seem to have opted for the non-environmentally friendly plastic disc package; and so soon after releasing In Rainbows as [...]

radiohead (again) versus emi records, a little spat…

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

The Guardian newspaper here in London reports that EMI had placed a misleading paid Google ad (see image above) referencing the word ‘Rainbows’ which is of course itself a reference to the new Radiohead album ‘In Rainbows.’ Here’s an extract. Full story here. Drastic times make for drastic measures I presume.
“Tension between Radiohead and EMI [...]
