My second hour on this week’s New Music Hour on Portland’s 94.7FM includes Portland musicians Nick Jaina and Little Hunks, a new cut from Luomo with Apparat and a Santogold remix. I remembered you playing Glasvegas and couldn’t help thinking that they are good but there is another band who just takes it a little bit further. Also from Glasgow Popup is the hardest working indie band I have ever come across. But what I love about Popup is that Damian the lead sings his heart out in one of the thickest Scottish accents which at first makes you go “what?” but also makes you want to listen to it again. They have been regarded as post punk, but they are also so indie and have splashes of pop. They are just fantastic and really deserve a look see.
