Thievery Corporation on iLike - Get Sidebar

I’m looking forward to the new Thievery Corporation album and it’s nice of the guys to post a video introduction to each song on the new album…problem is, there are no songs. Check it out, it’s so existential…… The guys seem to have clamped down on the availability of any MP3s too so I have nothing for you here. This is an odd way of promoting an album. Maybe comments can be left at the Thievery Corp blog although that blog hasn’t been updated since July. Head off to iLike to take a listen to the stream.

    The TC video intro was a bit odd…then-again, iLike is new.
    I enjoyed the new music overall. It’s very difficult to pull-off this world fusion stuff, and TC does a pretty good job.

    I love TC’s ESL label, but especially Chris Joss. He’s got this great mix of Lalo Schifrin and Isaac Hayes vibes…and odd mix, to be sure, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t WORK. Call me a fanboy. He did a GREAT remix on the ESL 100th CD release of that “Chick-a-Boom” track that showed up on some big Hollywood movie trailer all over the screens this summer…
