Smart and funny…and quite the surprise. (not sure about the shoes, though…)

I still scratch my head why Paris is considered a celebrity. Celebutard does come to mind though. Two thumbs up for the hybrid energy policy initiative she reads from the cue cards.

  • JWallace Says:

of COURSE it was cue cards…Some of those words had more than two syllables! The only reason she can even PRONOUNCE them is because they were spelled foan-et-ik–all-eeee.

I thought this was very clever and hilarious. I have to say it also gave me pause because it’s so easy to hate on Paris and assume she is just a twiddley-twat know-nothing. Somehow this little bit of pop-culture initiative on her part gives me a bit of grudging respect for her.

  • J Kent Says:

pop-culture initiative? I think you’re giving her too much credit, this wreaks of her agent’s PR know-how. It sounds like the folks at Funny Or Die approached her with the idea first so I doubt it’s a remotely original thought on her behalf.

I concur completely with j kent’s comments. Imho, it reeks of a seize the moment attempt to grab (and control) some positive / hip publicity rather than the more typical media coverage of her sans-panties crotch shots climbing out of cars clubbing with Britney, et al or semi-private(?) sex tapes, or bumbling her favorite story from reading the Bible while she did her jail stint, or, or, or… ;-]

Next stop: The Paris Hilton Summarize Proust Competition (with apologies to Monty Python’s Flying Circus).
