Berry Embark on National Train Tour, how to tour in times of high gas prices

Berry Tour Train

On August 15th, Chicago’s Berry play their hometown and then hit the road, or rather the train tracks, as they tour the country by train to avoid the high price of touring by van now that gas prices are still flirting around the $4.00 mark. Good idea. The band’s Paul Goodenough says the tour poses all sorts of logistical challenges as well as a musical challenge as they have had to strip their musical equipment down to a minimum to be able to travel by train. This is their 6th major tour and the first one without a van.

Have a listen to ‘Protesty’ below from their 2007 album ‘Empathy.’ Then go see ‘em and support a band that’s trying….Check out their album ‘Covery‘ too…
