Ok, with all of last week’s Sasquatch madness this one got lost in the mix - here’s Nilina’s post:
Unlike their Sasquatch set two nights before, The Kooks weren’t an hour late onto the stage when it came time for their Myspace Secret Show set. Billed as an acoustic show, frontman Luke Pritchard made sure that statement rang true by never once letting go of his acoustic guitar which made for a unique set. Why? Aren’t The Kooks all about guitars? Well, if you’ve seen the Kooks live before, you know Luke is in his element when the guitar is set down and he’s simply rocking the mic - free to move about the stage and make eyes at all the girls. Yes, he still worked the crowd, but the magic was turned down a little, though with all the teenage squeals you couldn’t tell.
