So here’s a thought…today’s bill was strangely mellow. This morning (Saturday) got off to a quick start with Dead Confederates and Beirut but things slowed down really quickly. The New Pornographers clearly had forgotten to rehearse before turning up; they stumbled through several songs and gave us a grin, a nod and a wink but I don’t think that’s valid… mediocrity followed. Neko Case was clearly enjoying herself though. Another Canadian, Kathleen Edwards, played a very strong set, more than making up for a missing band member but the night was all M.I.A.’s for the taking. Here’s a video, let’s call it a medley..it’s not edited too well because I’m in the middle of nowhere, WA, so I just threw it up quickly but you’ll get the vibe….why didn’t she headline is the question?

That MIA show was amazing…and Damnit she should have headlined.

I think that most people agreed that MIA put on the best show of Sat (I do) it was great how she let the crowd onstage…

how come you didn’t show 500 people on the stage! that was insane. MIA completely should have headlined, in the dark her show would have reached something beyond mind blowing.
