gadget of the year!

Forget about the iPhone G3, this year’s gadget of the year is what I like to call the ‘scratchula‘. Not only does it’s metallic chrome flat surface flip burgers (or veggie burgers) like a normal spatula, it also has jagged sides for scratching and scraping the grill AND a lil’ slot for popping the tops off of beers! Did you hear that, guys? No more holes in your t-shirts from bottle caps!

Now all we need to do is figure out the name for the Moose’s gadget of the year prize (The Moosey? Moosedrop?) and get ready to attach the word scratchula to it’s finely polished surface. Oh, and another sunny day in Portland for grilling would help the cause too…

    is that the iphone 2?

supposedly yes. wanna sell that ‘ancient’, ‘old’, and ‘outdated’ phone of yours to me on the cheap? it’s got pong, right;)

  • erik.stanfill Says:

The new iPhone will likely have pong, super-pong, and bad-ass crazymonkey pong.

iPhone 2.0 is mostly a software update, free for all users, so iPhone V1 won’t be really outdated. The hardware update likely is just a cosmetic upgrade, 3G tech, a supposely “true” GPS and front camera/sensor.

i say “likely”, based on rumors. don’t quote me on the specs.:)

btw, the scratula is a lot like my trusty Q-flipper… it was just two days ago that I discovered it had a bottle opener at the opposite end of the handle. Pretty much anything that includes a bottle opener should be in contention for gizmo of the year.

  • j ragel Says:

YES! we need a gizmo of the year award too. just don’t get it wet or some serious hijinx will go down…

  • erik.stanfill Says:

well, no bottle opener there, but rockin’ casio in a santa hat trumps bottle opener in my competition.

off topic, but does anyone know a good place to get a steak in Santa Clara, CA? I’m bored outta my mind tonight, obviously.

  • j ragel Says:

@Erik: There’s just got to be a steak house widget for your iphone somewhere out there…
