win free tickets, cd, vinyl and a t-shirt from the teenagers
As you may have noticed, we’re throwing down for a band. The Teenagers, who hail from France have just released their album Reality Check stateside and they are touring in support of the release. The album has already received rave reviews - here’s on from the NME:
“The Teenagers’ ‘Reality Check’ is a seething mass of synths, bottle-neck harmonies and off-kilter guitars that chime with a lo-fi sizzle. However, gripping as it is, the music actually plays second fiddle to their hormone-filled lyrics and vocalist Quentin Delafon’s singing/speaking style. Two parts Gallic Lou Reed one part Eddie Argos, he intones each tune with a mix of bathos and heart. ….While we’re not sure how long The Teenagers can play the roles of STD-prone lover/sulky bastard/stalky webmaster, for now Reality Check stands as a fun, frank and startlingly perceptive debut that surprises for all the right reasons.” - NME.com.
The Moose is throwing a contest to win a) two tickets to see the band at the Doug Fir or b) two tickets plus a Teenagers T-shirt, CD and set of “Love No” tricolore 7″ singles on red/white/blue vinyl.
The first one is easy - send an email by clicking here to Claire at the Beggars Group with the correct names of the three members of The Teenagers. First correct answer wins the pair of tickets.
The second one is way more fun. The Teenagers love everything about American culture especially Proms! So all you have to do is send an email by clicking here to Claire at the Beggars Group with an attached picture of your WORST prom photo ever, and we mean the worst! The worst one wins 2 tickets to the show plus a Teenagers T-shirt, CD and set of “Love No” tricolore 7″ singles on red/white/blue vinyl. How cool is that?
And if the contest isn’t your thing you can buy tickets here.
Meanwhile watch the video for Love No here. Enjoy an in-depth interview with the band from Hipster Runoff here. And have a listen to Starlet Johanssen below. Check back for details on how to win a pair of tickets….
