With a name like Dead Meadow and an album entitled Old Growth I expected this one to smell musty. It’s also billed as psychedelic rock which sent me into more of a wobble but upon listening I changed my mind. Like a more laid back Kyuss these guys lay their rock on thick…

I really love the new Dead Meadow and all the 70’s rock revival bands like Black Mountain.

They are less bluesy than Dead Meadow and their songs are more epic in that they ebb and flow and can span many minutes getting the job done.
