    pffft. is that what passes as a ‘groove’ these days? how the hell is anyone supposed to hear the lyrics and the hook with all those cymbals washing all over the place?

    Whoa, completely over the top. By the way hitting a cymbal harder does not equal more volume..it just means more broken cymbals. This track definitely could have used more cowbell.

    But hitting the cymbal DOES flex your triceps and six-pack better! Although Travis’ six-pack seems to go up to eight.;)

    and I’m on board with you, Roy. I doubt the song has been ’soiled’ as it were. Overplaying is just a pet peeve of mine. Great songs are never hatched as a product of banging away on an instrument seemingly oblivious to what the song is doing. That sort of stuff keeps Producers up at night and obviously gets my goat a bit more then it should…
