The video for Chris Walla’s ‘Sing Again’ hit the in-box yesterday courtesy of Barsuk Records. Now, all of you in the know obviously know that the esteemed producer and guitarist for Death Cab For Cutie lives here in sunny Portland. It makes sense then that the video was shot here in PDX and hopefully it will be better received than the latest Hollywood flick to be shot here, Untraceable, starring Diane Lane. Click the image to play the video and watch closely for multiple guest appearances. You know who you are…..

    HA! My neighbors kid is in that video! Small world it is. Small World. I am assuming that Lance Bangs directed it as well.

    Ha ha I had no idea untracable was filmed in Portland. It seems like major release is done every year in Portland these days, Last year it was mr. brooks. It was ok to watch for free since I was working at a movie theater at the time.

    Cool video, but how many times can these guys do the same ho-hum song? Ugh.

    (I was recently accused of liking everything, so I feel the need to lash out at something. All things Death Cab are that something.)

  • Dave Allen Says:

    @Roy, it’s ok not to like anything!

  • Roy Christopher Says:

    Dave, I like so much, and that’s the problem. People think I have no critical filter because I choose to “enjoy or ignore,” and write about the stuff I like as opposed to the stuff I don’t. And, as you well know, I don’t like a lot of stuff. : ]

    i’m making no judgement here. seriously. i just need to acknowledge the elephant in the room in how white this video is. its not the band. its portland.

  • Dave Allen Says:

    @Josh,

    The other problem with the whiteness is how unsexy the rhythm is in the track. See Sasha Frere Jones for more on this subject… A Paler Shade of White
