Here’s the story on She Keeps Bees and why they appear here on the Moose. An envelope leaves Brooklyn postmarked November 29th. It’s addressed to Holocene Music, att: music submissions and the address is the Nemo Design/Moose address because Scott and Matt who ran Holocene Music had an office here at Nemo Design. These days any envelope with a CD inside it is dropped on my desk. I absentmindedly opened it not noticing that it wasn’t addressed to me and in a simple twist of fate I found myself enjoying the music. All you have to do is listen to the music that two people, Jessica Larrabee and Andy LaPlant, have made together because as the bio in the envelope says, “they play it loud ’cause She Keeps Bees got soul.” Meanwhile I’ll be sure to get the envelope to Scott at Holocene.
