Feist performs on the Today Show

This morning, during what I refer to as “The Housewife Hour” (or “The Matt Lauer-less Hour” or “The News-less Diet Chat Fashion Makeover Hour”), Feist performed her iPod song on the Today Show.
The new Menudo also performed a song.
I am trying very hard to reconcile these two things in my mind.
Is it just me or is an immediate cease and desist of any and all Broken Social Scene listening now considered mandatory for fans everywhere?
Am I being a jerk? It was actually a good performance but will Middle American housewives appreciate it? Why couldn’t she play a different song? Again, am I being a jerk?
Her boots were FAB though.

I remeber seeing feist in Austin when she played with broken social scene and I was like who is this skinny thang, this was right around when bss got their “hot shit” rating from pitchfork…? Little did I know that she would some day be on the Today Show. Wow I was so lucky.

@joshk so little interest! :) It went downhill for me after they appeared on Silver Spoons…in my opinion they sold out. you have your BOH vs. Walmart and I had my Menudo vs. Ricky Stratton.
