So bands still do sign to labels. Portland’s very own Horse Feathers has teamed up with indie label Kill Rock Stars to release their sophomore album I presume. Portlanders can catch them when they play two shows at Holocene on December 5th and 6th.

More on Black Friday. Adbusters has declared today Buy Nothing Day. Which is all very worthy. Unfortunately that bastion of televised music videos (well it used to be known for that,) MTV has refused to run the Adbusters commercials for the event….whatever happened to rock music and activism?
