marie antoinette dvd, a stocking stuffer…

Marie Antoinette movie gang of four
The problem of leisure..Click to Play

After watching Sofia Coppola’s movie Marie Antoinette a few times now, and not just because Gang of Four’s ‘Natural’s Not In It’ is the title track, I’ve come to the conclusion that this movie was badly overlooked by the critics and the public alike. The New York Times movie critic A.O.Scott was one of the few who understood the movie’s premise and the reason why Coppola chose such a rich mix of classic punk rock for the soundtrack. I recommend buying the DVD for a friend this Christmas.

Awesome film… it rekindled my love for New Order’s “Age Of Consent”

did you know that her brother Gian-Carlo Coppola was killed in a speedboating accident, driven by Ryan O’neal son Griffin O’neal. Crazy!

well I suppose if someone were to buy the DVD I might make 0000.000002 cents. But seriously, this movie should not have been so overlooked….just my opinion. BTW, this whole blog is shameless self-promotion when I think about it.

Kiala, you really out to break out of that shell and really speak your mind. That’s just a POV….

Oh, sorry. I was just shamlessly self promoting.

That movie was terrible. Just terrible. Almost worse than the Transformers if such a thing were possible. It makes me mad at Sofia Coppola. At least in the Virgin Suicides she had the good sense not to let La Dunst open her mouth very often.

I did like the soundtrack, though. Especially that Joy of Four. Or Gang Division. Both of them were very good.
