business week - the music industry has problems….er, well, duh!
Musicians are looking for an alternative. Their managers may be the answer. So goes the call out on a piece over at Business Week written by Jon Fine. I suppose the question here is - Where have Jon Fine and his business magazine cohorts been? What didn’t they get as the music consumer fled the aisles of brick and mortar music retailers starting around 1998? And please, who the hell, in 2007, paraphrases Sir Winston Churchill…!!!? Please paraphrase Rem Koolhaas. Meanwhile read this and weep and say thanks to your god that the managers mentioned in the article, Jon Silva and Coran Capshaw, gave Jon Fine a big fat no comment…. Message to Jon Fine - your piece is scheduled for October 29. The Radiohead buzz that your article is based upon reached its peak around October 10.

Sorry, what has this to do with Rem Koolhaas again?

It has about as much to do with Rem as it has to do with Sir Winston Churchill being quoted in Fine’s article, I was being facetious. You know, irony, humour….maybe even a little pissy..

And piquant, Dave. Also….persnickity. And puspicious.
Ok. I made that one up.
