say hello to the ibrick

If you bought the iPhone day 1 you got a $200 hosing (offset by a $100 gift certificate to spend on Apple products,) then if you hacked it hopefully you stayed away from this week’s software update because, as Apple warned, it turns a hacked iPhone into an iBrick!

i appreciate what the iPhone hacking community is doing. essentially they are pushing the limits of what the device can do which ultimately helps the iPhone dev team create legit firmware updates.
also, generally speaking, its not the people hacking their phones that are getting bricked. its the people that unlocked their phones so they could be used on other carriers. guess what? legally speaking they should only work on ATT/cingular.
i just downloaded the latest legit firmware update and am LOVING the wifi itunes access. the experience is fun and flawless.

Not only that, but the phones aren’t even totally bricked, they’ll work again with a new AT&T sim… easy on the FUD there Moosey.

@Nate, aww, you guys are so easy to taunt…I’m just jealous that I can’t get one because of the “no businesses” rule….
