northwest institute for social change, a dj set podcast

Unlike terrestrial radio, Moose Radio doesn’t suck gas nor trample the earth…

Phil Busse invited me to DJ a set for his burgeoning endeavor, the Northwest Institute for Social Change. Here’s their blurb:

“For the past two months, we have hosted 13 college students from around the country—from Boston University, Princeton, Reed. They have been studying the “masters” (Ed Murrow, David Halberstam, Studs Turkel, etc.) and figuring out how they can translate that journalist dignity and honor to the new opportunities that technology presents. It is a chance for a new generation to begin careers as independent journalists.”

And here’s a 30 minute slice from my set:

01. Gorillaz - Rock The House
02. Groove Armada - I See You Baby
03. Hot Chip - And I Was A Boy From School
04. James Brown - Get On The Good Foot
05. Kanye West - Throw Some D’s
06. Kanye West and Daft Punk - Stronger
07. Public Enemy - Fight The Power

Thanks for coming out to play this stellar set. I was just asking around if anyone thought a copy of it would become available… well… aren’t we all lucky now. Again, thanks for the support, we all had such a lovely time.
