To celebrate the launch of Anton Corbin’s film ‘Control’ the story of the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis’ life, Paul Smith has commissioned Peter Saville to design a limited edition t-shirt. Peter Saville is one of the most acclaimed graphic designers working today. He made his name 20 years ago as Art Director and co-Founder of Factory Records the legendary independent record label. He has created iconic graphics for such bands as Joy Division, New Order and Pulp. For this unique Paul Smith project, Peter has chosen a simple design referencing the pulses of a neutron star which featured on the cover of Joy Division’s debut album ‘Unknown Pleasures’ released in 1979. Limited to 200 pieces. Go get ‘em.

It looked like I was able to purchase one…although I don’t think I will…$100+ is a bit on the high end…even for a shirt as cool as that one. :)

Hi Dave
There are still certain benefits to living in the UK. 50 always seems better value than 100 and I have had my order confirmed. It’s pity that summer doesn’t look like making an appearence this year!

Frazer,
The best benefit for living in the UK, beyond being able to grab the Control Tee, is that your pounds go a long way when you hit the ‘States…£1 = $2….
