Alert readers may have noticed the MapClicks link in the left hand column of our home page. The Moose was asked to be a featured music blog by MapClicks and we were happy to oblige. Here’s the low down from the horse’s mouth -
MapClicks was formed in 2002 to publish the Alberta Street Walking Map. Now, MapClicks publishes nine Portland Neighborhood Walking Maps; Alberta, Beaumont, Broadway, Division/Clinton, Hawthorne/Belmont, N. Mississippi, Nob Hill, Pearl District, Westmoreland/Sellwood. We are dedicated to promoting locally owned businesses by providing marketing and business tools. Besides the printed walking maps we have MapClicks.com which features an online interactive map, an events calendar, and Portland’s best blogs; fashion, music, shopping, neighborhoods, food and drink. We work closely with business associations in which we serve, and the Portland Oregon Visitors Association, in promoting local businesses and the neighborhoods in which they are located. Our newest product is the MapClicks Choose Local card which provides the cardholder numerous discounts or offers at many neighborhood businesses.
