splashcast, another fine portland company
May 22nd, 2007 by Dave Allen
Ned turned me on to this one today. SplashCast. Here’s the blurb - “SplashCast enables anyone to create streaming media ‘channels’ that combine video, music, photos, narration, text and RSS feeds. These user-generated channels can be played and easily syndicated on any web site, blog, or social network page. When channel owners modify their channel, their content is automatically updated across all the web pages ‘tuned’ to that channel.” So I’m experimenting with it. The video I posted is of a mini-movie by Ryan Adams featuring the song September. A fine way to kill 19 minutes of the work day….

What?! You mean you didn’t hear about these guys from me? Marshall, the Director of Content for SplashCast, is a friend of mine since high school. I’ve been promoting them on various projects for a couple of months now. Looks like we need to get together more often for geeky downloading. ;)
