Dean Wareham of Galaxie 500 and Luna fame and his partner Britta Phillips, also of Luna and formerly of Belltower, released their new CD Back Numbers on Feb 27th. The couple’s new moniker is Dean & Britta. The songs are growing on me but then I always dug blondes and heroin chic, although this album is more of a pop outing than usual for these two. I’m not sure how the first line of this song - “you are the treacle in my pie” - sits with me though…..
