Every now and again I discover something new and lovely in the music world. I was digging through my tunes as I was considering the next PDX_Ripped podcast and I was searching for Portland bands and artists when I came across Solo Dos En Tijuana. I first heard their music when my buddy Matt Wright turned me on to them as we built a Xmas Compilation back in 2003. To say they perform ‘mexican’ music would be a crime as they really create something unique, music without nationality I’d say. There web site says they record in Portland to 8-track so what we have here is some wonderful lo-fi northwest world music. Any way click the player below to hear Soy El Piso.
