Portland’s Tony Furtado, the renowned multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter, came by Moose HQ today to talk about his brand new album, Thirteen. Tony discusses how his music has been influenced by artists such as Ry Cooder, Tom Waits and The Band, how a mining disaster last year in West Virginia inspired the album’s title and how all the players came together in Tuscon, Arizona at the Tape Op Conference. You’ll hear cuts from the new album plus live tracks. Tony’s album release show is at the Doug Fir on February 1st and tickets are available here.
