The city went weirdly quiet yesterday so presumably everyone has done with the gift buying and hunkered down for a long weekend of eating and drinking. Whatever your faith it’s the holidays. Meanwhile I had a birthday to celebrate yesterday so I found myself in an ersatz gastro pub on west 3rd st with friends Selma Blair, Julie DeSanto and my wife Paddy. Fish and chips and Mirror Pond, it was like being in Portland at a McMenamins. Tonight is a huge Christmas Eve party in the Hollywood Hills, maybe there will be a pile of photos and video to sift through. Whatever. Happy Christmas, Happy Holidays et al to one and all. Be safe.
