I found an incoming link to Dirty Martini’s web log from this post, Art Vs The Google Economy about how search engines point people to new music.
A friend who likes The Decemberists goes searching for more, finds a photographer who’s done some of their photos, browses more from her portfolio, finds some of a band called Dirty Martini, finds their website, finds their MySpace, previews a few tracks, and decides to purchase the album.
