Sticking with the record store versus the iTunes store thread I bought Ray LaMontagne’s latest CD “Till the Sun Turns Black” on iTunes today because when I was buying the U.N.K.L.E. box set at Portland’s Everyday Music I saw Ray’s album and it cost a whopping $17.99. On iTunes it was $9.99. That leaves enough change in the till for 8 single tracks on iTunes. And in a pedantic move I have to ask can you use the word “till” as in Till the Sun Turns Black, surely in this context it should be ‘Til as an abbreviation of “Until.” Just a thought….and then a quick look over at Answers.com proves Ray is correct, “Till” is the older word and is preferable to ‘Til. So there you have it. Back to school.
