Nice mix. Kind of ranged between the hautning and funky. How about some haunting and funky? Did you ever tour with Wire? Do you fancy them? I think it’s cool that you’d do a podcast of various bands not just the ones on your label. If a music podcaster wanted to play muic form PMoose bands do you have any policy on that?

well the idea is to expose Portland bands far and wide, I mean not everyone gets in the friggin New York Times. So as usual I’m happy to explore the sung and the unsung but especially the unsung. and the podcast is not about the bands on PMoose, they will be showing up for sure but only because they are part of the PDX scene. the nice thing about having a blog is that a point of view is just that, a point of view, and everything else is left up to the reader/listener. the moose doesn’t have an opinion actually, I am not in the critical arena, I am untrained in criticism, I only have a) personal taste or b) complete disregard, therefore the podcast should be taken as both a and b; my personal taste and my disregard. the music scene is so fucked up it’s not worth commenting on so being able to post stuff that represents what’s going on in PDX without judgement is rather liberating. as for your question - i am happy for anyone to podcast Moose artists….

Hmm, but tell me how you really feel Dave-LOL. Sounds good to me and I’m sure you being a professional musician has a far more personal understanding of how bad the music biz sucks. That is also one of the reasons I bother to put so much time into podcasting. If I can introduce one more person to one more creative band-than I think I’ve done a good thing.
Is there any background written in this blog or elsewhere on how and why you ended up in Portland? anyhow-love the exposure to the new bands.

Yo Dave my boy bazooka Joe from http:smallworldpodcast.com wants to interview and should be in touch shortly. He and Dave from EGC are probably 2 of the best interviewers in independent podcasting. Hope you can swing something-love to hear more and have other people find out about what you are doing.
