NWEAMO is the New West Electro-Acoustic Music Organization. This non-profit, all volunteer organization has been producing its annual festival, exploring the wildly diverse fringes of experimental music and its intersections with video and performance art now for eight years running.

Portland’s Ethan Rose gets a nice write up in the NY Times for the reissue of his album ‘Ceiling Songs’ on the label Locust Music. The video above is called ‘Fallen’ and is a clip by Ryan Jeffrey featuring music by Rose.

Sticking with the record store versus the iTunes store thread I bought Ray LaMontagne’s latest CD “Till the Sun Turns Black” on iTunes today because when I was buying the U.N.K.L.E. box set at Portland’s Everyday Music I saw Ray’s album and it cost a whopping $17.99.
