I spent Saturday night, Sunday morning trying to comply with the rules re carry-on bags on my flight to London. United check in person; “sir you’ll have to check all of your luggage all the way through to London, absolutely no carry-ons are allowed except tickets and passports. I don’t make up the rules.” Me; “as I am changing ‘planes in Chicago I’ll check my bags there.” Much rolling of eyes and deep sighs by United folks. I arrive in Chicago, check in to the London flight, walk on board with my carry on luggage. Watched 2 PSP movies and read a book while those around me traveling from Portland sunk into deep boredom after reading their passports for the umpteenth time. It’s music like this that gets me through.
