The Right Honorable Sir Hugo

Look out folks the online radio channels are filling up with pompous, opinionated English musicians – well two of us anyway. Hugo Burnham, the drumming half of the most excellent original Gang of Four rhythm section [if I may say so myself,] has gone and got himself a radio show..it’s called 30 years In the Hole. Here’s an overview of the show from Hugo himself:

“It’s mostly the music, but also some stories, memories, and rants about the odd 30-odd years I was in and around the music business. And before that. *Some music you have heard. *Some music you should have heard…but didn’t. *Some music you will absolutely not have heard…but should have. *All music worth hearing. [...and no, it won’t be all Gang of Four...] It’s on All Independent Radio – the internet station run by the students at the school where I teach in Boston, MA – The New England Institute of Art. The 2-hour show goes out Thursdays at 3:30pm [EDT] 12:30 in CA and 8:30 in the UK at: NeiAlive or via iTunes>radio>college radio>AII Independent Radio. It’s also available on a free iPhone app – College Radio ‘All Independent Radio’ And here’s links to the show podcast.

The face of radio has been changed forever, but as you can see, Hugo at least has a face for radio…hup!
