Whatever you say about Kanye he always brings it…
Pampelmoose is a music and MP3 web site covering the eclectic independent music scene. We stay clear of major labels and their artists to avoid having the Web Sheriff gallop through our offices. We are indie at heart so we support all things indie – in all its shapes and forms.
Dave walloped the bass strings and is a founding member of the highly influential, post-punk band, Gang of Four. With his business partner, Ned Failing, he started Pampelmoose in 2005. We love music and we love the way the internet leveled the playing field for all artists.
Josh Kneedler is a highly experienced interactive designer. He began working in online media in 1997 at the birth of the interactive world, a world we now take for granted, one that has become as common as the utilities we use at home. His skills consist of design, programming, and creative direction. It’s an eclectic mix, but one that is vital to pursuing new ventures where traditional broadcast media rules do not apply. Josh understands that music artists no longer need traditional record labels. A consumer in Japan may never have heard of our local Northwest music scene so local bands need a different way to promote their independently produced CDs. Josh has the necessary skills and experience that highlight innovation over imitation to tackle contemporary challenges in the world of interactive programming, design and creative marketing. Some of Josh’s work can be seen on his web site: http://www.joshkneedler.net

You could have put a 5 year old with a kazoo on that stage with those lights and that orchestra and it would have been just as entertaining.
In other news I think we’ve discovered why Kanye leaned so heavily on the auto-tune and vocoder on the last album.

February 27th, 2009 at 3:18 pmExtraordinary ego without extraordinary talent.
February 27th, 2009 at 4:00 pmWow, who knew, Kanye haters…..!!
February 27th, 2009 at 4:08 pmShout out to VH1 for that set…it looks like a spaceship he could take on tour.
February 27th, 2009 at 5:32 pmps. that’s a good a thing
February 27th, 2009 at 5:32 pmKanye is pretty horrible. High production value is fine; a severe lack of talent paired with delusions of grandeur is not.
March 1st, 2009 at 8:55 amIt started with a Honda Civic commercial — I was worried that Kanye was going to be on that.
I’ve always liked this guy — but I doubt he’ll ever top his post-Katrina performance with Mike Myers.
March 1st, 2009 at 12:21 pmI’m surprised that folks can’t see beyond the hype. Yes his ego and his ability to run off at the mouth are legendary but he still turns out great stuff in my opinion. That’s why I gave him a great review for 808s and Heartbreak
March 1st, 2009 at 3:11 pmI agree Dave. Kanye brings his A-Game 99% of the time…but where there are lovers there will always be haters closeby…hehe.
March 1st, 2009 at 5:12 pmI have been a bit out of the hiphop loop for a while, but he definitely strikes me as one of the few people truly stretching the genre and consistently turning out quality material. Ego — what good is a performer without an ego??
March 1st, 2009 at 9:44 pmI actually have a love/hate relationship with Kanye, I loved Graduation and a lot of his earlier stuff, I think he has great vision and design sensibilities and he’s at trend-surfing. That being said, I can’t stand his ego, I can’t stand that people hear a Daft Punk riff now and think Kanye created it, and I especially can’t stand the vocal processing prevalent on every stupid track of 808′s… Graduation was a much much better album.
March 3rd, 2009 at 1:12 pmHow’s about now???
September 14th, 2009 at 11:47 amThat was a ham-fisted attempt by MTV to “plant” Kanye if you ask me..who watches those crap shows anyway?? He’s still got a raw talent for pop and hip hop, I’m sticking with KW..Taylor Swift will recover I’m sure, she sure got good coverage out of it.

quality material? I challenge him to create hip-hop without his production company. His music in my opinion isn’t even good. Its overly produced, almost to the point of sounding aritficial, and his lyrics are complete garbage. He can’t even use grammar properly. Getting back in the Hip Hop loop shouldn’t bring you to Kanye, as he is just like every other mainstream artist, fake in almost every sense of the word. Its cool if people like his music, but recognizing his music is not true to hip hop is essential to knowing hip hop. Here are some good hip hop groups/acts that have stuck true to the roots (for the most part anyway haha)
