I recently had the pleasure of doing a little video episode for www.delllounge.com for a series called Dead Venues Live, the episode being about Club Foot, where my band, the Skunks, opened for you in the 80s. In this series, a "veteran" musician who was known for playing the now extinct club tours the site (now the site of a bank tower) and talks about what it was like, then a new, young band plays on that site. The band for the show was Ume. I had no part in selecting the band but I was really psyched that they were. They set up and played in the alley underneath the building on a freezing Saturday morning and ROCKED! I love this band. They remind me, in addition to Gang of Four, of Blonde Redhead and of course Sonic Youth and A Place To Bury Strangers. All great bands. Anyway, cheers! Kudos to you, Dave.
