Pampelmoose is a music and MP3 web site covering the eclectic independent music scene. We stay clear of major labels and their artists to avoid having the Web Sheriff gallop through our offices. We are indie at heart so we support all things indie – in all its shapes and forms.
Dave walloped the bass strings and is a founding member of the highly influential, post-punk band, Gang of Four. With his business partner, Ned Failing, he started Pampelmoose in 2005. We love music and we love the way the internet leveled the playing field for all artists.
Josh Kneedler, co-founder and author
Josh Kneedler is a highly experienced interactive designer. He began working in online media in 1997 at the birth of the interactive world, a world we now take for granted, one that has become as common as the utilities we use at home. His skills consist of design, programming, and creative direction. It’s an eclectic mix, but one that is vital to pursuing new ventures where traditional broadcast media rules do not apply. Josh understands that music artists no longer need traditional record labels. A consumer in Japan may never have heard of our local Northwest music scene so local bands need a different way to promote their independently produced CDs. Josh has the necessary skills and experience that highlight innovation over imitation to tackle contemporary challenges in the world of interactive programming, design and creative marketing. Some of Josh’s work can be seen on his web site: http://www.joshkneedler.net
We did it. McCain was a jerk for the last 3 months, but he vacated gracefully.
We have more work to do than ever. This is just the begining of a long, hard, job. Strap yourselves in for a tough ride. Thank goodness we have the right guy at the helm.
People are dancing in the streets of central philadelphia. A fun, historical, time!
Everyone, artists of all sorts, musical or otherwise, needs to get on board with this. This is big. This is different. This is new. This is America. We’ve got 4 more years left, at least. Lets make something great be heard.
Record it. Film it. Post it. Make it known. Thats the most we can ask for, and the best we can hope for.
saying McCain is a jerk is going a little overboard. Especially since Obama and co. have been attacking them more often than vice versa. There have been attacks on Obama from non-McCain sources, but that doesnt mean he has been doing it.
Personally I am waiting for Obama to mess up and blame it all on someone else, then we will all end up footing the bill.
Really? Why would you want to project your own negativity upon Obama. Why do you think he’ll mess up? A man who runs this kind of campaign, against all odds, and wins is surely someone we want at the helm right?
…have never felt more positive. its not about whether obama makes mistakes or not. he will. the difference is that the country is together. we have a leader that we can trust as we move forward!
I just hope and pray the Obama campaign machine can run the Fedl Govt as effectively as they did the Presidential race. Hopefully their braintrust of advisors and strategists will stay with them the next 4 years.
Kudos to McCain for a gracious and humble exit and calling the nation to pull together and unite behind our new leader.
Agaisnt all odds is taking it a little far. He outspent McCain a bit in a lot of cities, and as the senate/congress shows people are voting Democratic this year. I just don’t believe Obama is going to do good for this country, but we will see in the next 4 years.
So many people are invigorated by this election. Obviously, Obama has some difficult decisions to make, but in his political career he has shown the ability to surround himself with people who make him better. McCain picked Palin—what does that say about the cabinet he would have picked? McCain’s speech was awesome, and even though the election got nasty on both sides I have a lot of respect for him. However, he would have been a terrible president for this time.
Obama is a genius, has always been able to get people to work together under a common purpose wherever he has been, and will make for one of the most dynamic and incredible politicians we will ever witness.
Obama has revitalized our standing with other nations and he hasn’t signed bill ONE. The naysayers can piss and moan all they want about “socialists” and “radicals” but Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity (as examples) are so completely out of touch with reality that at least ONE of them actually believes we’re headed for a one world government and currency.
The clueless will whine and wallow, but the rest of the world really likes us right now thanks to Obama’s victory and that’s not a bad place to be in considering how we’ve looked for the last eight long wretched years.
change has come, and it will be for better, that’s for sure!
…i mean, we were talking about gerorge w bush till yesterday!
so it will be anywhere between “better” and “so f* wonderful, this must be a dream”
