My mind is blown a little bit. Lets take a moment to collect ourselves……Ready?
Rjdj is a new iphone app. Why is that special? It does something new….and by new I mean you have never experienced anything like this.
The short answer is that your thoughts get placed into a ambient landscape.
Lets step through this:
1. install rjdj onto your iphone
2. make sure you have iphone headphones with the speaker attachment
3. select the first scene called “Eargasm”
4. start making sounds or talking
I got a little emotional hearing my thoughts layered into the music so easily. I’m a quiet person by nature and to hear even my most subtle words layered into the sound was shocking and satisfying at the same time. Even humming created interesting soundscapes.
There are multiple scenes that you can play with like “WorldQuantizer” and “Loopinger” that just scratch the surface of how cool this app can be. It makes me want to walk around downtown speaking and listening to the world i live in.
The potential for sound creation individually as well as soundscapes from the developer are truly inspiring.
