My buddy John Askew, who plays alongside me in Faux Hoax with Menomena’s drummer Danny Seim, has a band Tracker as well as running FILMguerrero, spent whatever free time he didn’t have recently working on an album called ‘Veteran of the Loudness Wars’ by RemoteTreeChildren.
When you visit the band’s site you will see that it is hosted on a platform called BandCamp where musicians can upload their music and offer it up to fans in numerous ways. As the BandCamp folks say – We provide fast, dependable streaming and downloads of your entire catalog, and we do it for free. Give away your music, sell it for a set price, or let your fans name their price — it’s up to you. They also supply the embedable widget such as you see in this post up top…pretty cool solution if you ask me.
