Norway’s Susanna Wallumrød has gathered a wonderfully eclectic set of songs for her new release ‘Flower of Evil‘ her second solo album. This time around she’s accompanied by Will Oldham [or Bonny Prince Billy if you prefer.]
The songs picked for reinterpretation include selections from Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Prince, Nico and Will Oldham, who joins Wallumrød on two cuts. Her dark, melancholy, jazz interpretations are superb – an album to be savored over a long, languid Sunday brunch or simply in the dark.
