Even though this isn’t a game of truth or dare, I have to admit when it comes to the Danish act Junior Senior splitting ranks, I’m not so hot on Senior’s solo output as single-monikered Jeppe, but am totally in Junior’s corner with his new outlet I Scream Ice Cream. Jesper “Junior” Mortensen has got a handful of solo tracks out on French label Kitsune that’ll “move your feet” to borrow the title of the former duo’s most popular single. I Scream Ice Cream’s “Trust Tissue” is as much about deadly guitar chords as it is about its lack of trust themed lyrics. Can’t trust your mother, brother, father and sister? This song may be the one for you. Shed the lyrics and you can still relate on a dance floor, in a group or all alone as this song’s lyrics imply. Either way, it’s some pretty rapturous new wave as is trippy tune “Caveman” which is also available to stream on his Myspace.
