The New Music Hour on Portland’s 94.7FM rolls along. I’m on air with resident DJ Squid every Tuesday and Thursday at 8PM. This is the show from Thursday September 25th. For more local and Northwest music you can also tune in to 94.7 Too either on your HD radio or on the web. 94.7 Too only plays local and Northwest music, nothing else.
Last night’s show included an in-studio interview with two special guests, The Veils and The Mint Chicks. Finn Andrews, leader of The Veils brought me a brand new cut from the new Veils album to be released next year and The Mint Chicks, Portland’s latest import from New Zealand, also brought along two new songs. So we have an exclusive or two. The Veils were in town on tour and they played an amazing show at the Doug Fir meanwhile The Mint Chicks have two Portland shows this Saturday night. The first at 5PM is at The Green House, 612 NE Jarrett, Portland, with Deer or the Doe + Dead Trees + Brother George. Then later at 9PM at the Towne Lounge, 714 SW 20th Pl., Portland, with Pattern is Movement + The Robot Ate Me
