Coldplay return with their Brian Eno-produced album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. Make up your minds.
Pampelmoose is a music and MP3 web site covering the eclectic independent music scene. We stay clear of major labels and their artists to avoid having the Web Sheriff gallop through our offices. We are indie at heart so we support all things indie – in all its shapes and forms.
Dave walloped the bass strings and is a founding member of the highly influential, post-punk band, Gang of Four. With his business partner, Ned Failing, he started Pampelmoose in 2005. We love music and we love the way the internet leveled the playing field for all artists.
Josh Kneedler is a highly experienced interactive designer. He began working in online media in 1997 at the birth of the interactive world, a world we now take for granted, one that has become as common as the utilities we use at home. His skills consist of design, programming, and creative direction. It’s an eclectic mix, but one that is vital to pursuing new ventures where traditional broadcast media rules do not apply. Josh understands that music artists no longer need traditional record labels. A consumer in Japan may never have heard of our local Northwest music scene so local bands need a different way to promote their independently produced CDs. Josh has the necessary skills and experience that highlight innovation over imitation to tackle contemporary challenges in the world of interactive programming, design and creative marketing. Some of Josh’s work can be seen on his web site: http://www.joshkneedler.net

I registered to download this from their official web site, assuming I would be sent a download link.
I was sent a download link a few days later, it expired after 6 hours.
Some of us need to sleep every now and again. Nice one coldplay.
May 1st, 2008 at 1:41 amWell don’t lose any sleep over it, it’s not that good. You can always download it from here…
May 1st, 2008 at 7:22 amDave…curious if you ever had any encounters with Eno. I have serious Eno damage over Tiger Mountain and Here Come The Warm Jets…Blank Frank and Dead Finks Don’t Talk are standouts for me. But then again, I enjoyed 20 Jazz Funk Greats by Throbbing Gristle too, so I expect my judgement is questionable. Heh…
May 1st, 2008 at 10:35 amI met Eno and David Byrne outside the Gramercy Park hotel in NYC the early 80′s. I was with Barry Andrews when we were playing in Shriekback together. He knows Eno so we all stood and chatted on the sidewalk for a few minutes…..that was it.
May 1st, 2008 at 10:59 amI just ended up torrenting it (before you posted this), and you’re right, it’s nothing special. I just found it ridiculous that they would try to ‘do a radiohead lol’ and end up just pissing me (and no doubt others) off.
I mean, I spend a lot of time on my pc, but it’s not even a bit of a stretch to imagine that I might be away from my PC for 6 hours.
It seems like they don’t really understand the internet.
May 1st, 2008 at 4:30 pmColdplay–didn’t they rip off Kraftwerk for that big hit of theirs? I seem to remember hearing that Komputer Liebe sequence all over the radio and wondering who had the cajones to rip off Florian and company without so much as a single slurred W or a one-two-three-four in German…
Oh, the agony.
May 1st, 2008 at 5:42 pmWhere did you find the torrent? I keep downloading fakes. Please, could you help me with a link?
