As you might imagine many unsolicited submissions arrive at the Moose daily. They create a quandary – what to do with them? I have a rule that sort of works (at least for me). If I like what I hear I will post it, if not I don’t. My thinking goes like this – if no one but the submitting party knows that I didn’t post it then only that party will be concerned by the Moose’s arbitrary taste barrier, right? And then there’s another rule – if your music sounds good and you’re giving it away for free then bingo!, you’re in. Case in point, Benzos. They have decided to make their Coup D’etat EP available as a free download. I’m liking it, maybe you will too. Here’s the link.
Benzos – Coup D’etat [MP3]

December 18th, 2007 at 8:21 pmRIGHT ON! Fantastic stuff….I like moody stuff like this and the keyboards are a nice 70s-esque touch. Great texture.
PS–Dave, what was the name/location of that MP3 collecting software you plugged a while back? Tangerine? Lemonhead? I meant to D/L that and start using it…now I’ve heard this and realized I need to get on that.
Cheers….
