September 5th, 2007 at 9:32 pmafter reading steve’s “open letter”, I gotta say he’s right, gadget buying is like the lottery, not for investment purposes. I find it hard to believe that people who lined up for iPhones in June didn’t think that Apple would make some changes for the holiday season, I certainly expected new product or a price adjustment before the end of the year. but, on the other hand, a 33% drop in price in two months is pretty extreme. offering $100 to early owners is a good way to go to save some bad PR.
