Jenny Tatone writes – Without question, Langhorne Slim offered the trashiest and most hillbilly punk version of country/folk at Pickathon so far. Kicking out folk cuts with the spitting audacity of a rebellious young punk in the 1970s, Langhorne beat through 30 minutes of raw, stomping cuts that brought folks to their feet, literally: “If you could all just stand for the next half hour, that would be really great,†Langhorne beckoned. About half the crowd obliged. Halfway through his set, nearly the entire audience was standing, some pogoing, peering wide-eyed at the fearless energy on stage.
