I’d rather be inside a windowless conference room
I’m always grateful to the many people who invite me to attend conferences and be on panels as either a moderator or a panelist. In the past I have been opinionated on panels at SXSW, CMJ, MusicFestNW, The Future of Music Coalition and WebVisions to name a few. Last year was quiet on that front but it looks like ‘07 will be busier for me.
I have been invited to speak at this years’ Tape Op Conference on their ‘Web and Music’ panel. Following my stint as a judge for Diesel-U-Music I have been invited to be a judge for Music Nation and last but not least on Friday May 18th I will be interviewing CD Baby’s Derek Sivers for the NPR show Live Wire! at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland. I’ll be posting about all of this after each event.

hope you got your room for the tapeopcon. looks like friday and saturday are booked at the tapeopcon inn and thursday is not far behind!!!!!!!

May 16th, 2007 at 9:13 amTape Op is a very successful conference and always seems to sell out in advance. Fortunately the organizers held a room for me in advance…
May 16th, 2007 at 10:04 amMFNW is not my doing any longer, I was in there from the get go but haven’t been involved since about ‘05.
