Give ‘em what they want, but cheaper

Amazon today announced that it will launch a DRM-free music download service. Given its price structure, 99 cents per download compared to Apple’s iTunes service price point of $1.49 for a similar DRM-free download they intend to go head-to-head with the market leader.
